“Pinewood Elementary School is a fiscal year 2011
recipient of a Small Capital Arts Grant for Schools grant from the Central
Minnesota Arts Board. This activity is funded, in part, by the Minnesota arts
and cultural heritage fund as appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature
with money from the Legacy Amendment vote of the people of Minnesota on
November 4, 2008.”
With this money provided by the grant, Pinewood
Elementary has been able to purchase a kiln for the use of their K – 5 art
students. This purchase will provide new opportunities for students to further
explore and create clay pieces. A big thank you goes out to the Central
Minnesota Arts Board as well as the Minnesota State Legislature!
